Support Our Media Center Transformation
Our Media Center is long overdue for a refresh, and the funds raised through this year’s Bear Run will go directly toward this exciting transformation. We’re not just upgrading a room—we’re creating a space that will inspire, engage, and nurture a love of learning in every student. But what exactly are we updating, and more importantly, why does it matter?
What We’re Updating
Thanks to the generous support of our community, the Media Center upgrades will include:
- Installing a magnetic door system for greater security and access control.
- Creating cozy, inviting soft seating and reading areas. We’ll be adding comfortable seating like benches, chairs, and stools to give students flexible spaces where they can relax with a book or work in small groups.
- Adding versatile, modern shelving to maximize space. With rolling shelves and innovative 360-degree bookcases, we’ll create an organized, easy-to-navigate environment for students to explore the world of books, which allows them to explore the world (and beyond).
We’re also excited to incorporate some cutting-edge technology:
- A poster maker and Epson wireless printer to support both creative and academic projects.
- 3D printers and a fully stocked sewing club, where students can experiment, build, and create, gaining hands-on experience with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts.

Studies show that when students have access to comfortable, well-designed spaces, they’re more likely to engage in independent reading and explore new topics.

The Media Center will become a place where they can easily find the tools and materials that support their education.
