Are You Ready to Bear Run?
We Bear Run This School
Welcome to the Schwarzkopf Elementary Bear Run, our annual tradition that brings our community together to support our school in a fun and healthy way. This year, the Bear Run goes beyond being just an exciting event for our students—it’s our key fundraiser that helps us reach important goals for our school.
This event is a partnership between the school and the Schwarzkopf Elementary PTA
The school plans to continue their efforts in "upgrading spaces to unlock potential". Our school is 34 years old and there's lots to do!
- What's been done so far?
- Media Center refresh updating furniture and shelving (supported by last year's Bear Run)
- New floors installed in every single classroom over the summer
- Most classrooms and exterior classroom doors have been repainted
- What's next to finish off classroom spaces?
- Adding rugs to make them even more warm and welcoming
- Improving the functionality of our existing classroom chairs
The PTA plans to continue supporting a variety of programs that help students go "beyond thee classroom, into their potential".
- Here are just some of the student enrichment activities we currently support:
- The book vending machine
- Fall pumpkin patch
- Fall Fest or Spring Carnival
- Bear Bash
- And we're adding even more this year, including:
- hosting an on-campus visit from SLAM author Jerrod Lerner who will lead assemblies sure to engage and inspire all of our Bears
- helping our teachers promote physical fitness and healthy play by adding outdoor storage to the playground and filling it with all of the items our students need for a variety of activities.
Schwarzkopf Elementary understands the need to promote a healthy and educational fundraiser to our students while respecting parents' repeated requests for an easy no-nonsense approach to helping us reach our budget goals.
We appreciate your help in reaching our $35,000 goal!
