About Me
I grew up in Indianapolis, IN and went to Purdue University. After college, I moved to Tampa to start my teaching career! I have been teaching in Hillsborough County for 20 years and have also served as a District Writing Coach and Writing Resource Teacher. I live in Lutz with my husband, Bill (who serves in the U.S. Army) and have two kids (Will-15, Maddy-12). I am a fierce animal lover and spend lots of time caring for my goats, chickens, cats, dogs, and guinea pigs!

Why I Chose Education
Growing up in a household with two college professors as parents, I knew I would follow in their footsteps and become an educator someday. My 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Valinetz, also inspired me to become a teacher. Making learning a fun and rewarding experience for kids is my passion! I LOVE teaching, and I LOVE Schwarzkopf!
