Teacher Brooke Kohler
About Me
Like many others, having children completely changed my life. After staying home with them for four years, I switched career paths into special education, first in a smaller private setting and later for HCPS. It is my fourth year working for Hillsborough County but first year teaching at Schwarzkopf. My two children attend Schwarzkopf as well. In my spare time I enjoy being active, specifically barre, pilates, biking, and hiking. When feasible I enjoy traveling.
Fun Facts
- I've lived in Tampa most of my life and attended Schwarzkopf. My mom also was a teacher here so it's a full circle moment teaching here with my children attending!
- I have ADHD, and I teach Varying Exceptionalities - my motto is it takes one to know one. :)
- I suppose I am a diehard Floridian, as I am allergic to cold weather (it's called cold urticaria).

Why I Chose Education
Led by my mother, I have always been drawn to teaching others. My mom frequently incorporated learning moments into everyday life. Prior to teaching I worked in business, and even there I trained others and was responsible for creating training manuals. Children are the future and I enjoy teaching them.
