About Me
Hi! I am a 12th year teacher, who has been a part of the Schwarzkopf family for 11 years. This will be my 6th year teaching 5th grade, English-Language Arts and am looking forward to another great, 'mountain moving' year with my students. I grew up in Cape Coral, Florida where my mom was the speech pathologist of my local elementary school. This led me to become the teacher you see today. I have been married to my amazing husband for fourteen years and have three fierce and wonderful daughters.
Fun Facts
- I have been a teacher for every elementary school grade level but 1st grade.
- I was a competitive dancer for most of my childhood and even went to USF to pursue dance through their program. Now, my oldest daughter is following in those footsteps. :)
- I love chasing sunsets, from experiencing the green flash at the beach to the beautiful colors of a sunset in the mountains.

Why I Chose Education
My desire is to build a classroom of mountain movers, who believe in their limitless possibilities and demonstrate a "push through" attitude to face things when it may get too hard. I continually strive to make core memories throughout our year together. I want my 5th graders walk away from their last year of elementary school talking about how we laughed a lot, learned a lot, had some new experiences, and each day reaffirm how amazingly awesome they all are. They, my students, are my why!
